Born on May 08, 1947, on the East Coast of Mauritius in the countryside and issued by parents who are farmers, Davi has been in constant contact with nature since his childhood. During his studies in secondary school, he brought impressive notes in artworks mainly on subjects related to nature painting and flowers were his favorite.

Unfortunately, Davi could not pursue his talents in this field because the college he was attending did not have art classes after the form three-level and had to let down his precious talents. In the year 1990, he became an official guide at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden at Pamplemousses which is known for being the most beautiful tropical garden with a very wide and impressive variety of Endemic, Indigenous, and Exotic plants from all around the globe.

Henceforth, he started seeing the plants in his routine life and came to the desire to fix them on canvas. Being a fervent defender of nature, he could not believe how fast nature is being sacrificed to make space for development. Thus to immortalize the beauty of nature, Davi has set himself to show the world the beauty of the plants through his artworks.

Davi is a self-taught artist and paints as a hobby.
